The Recyclesoft Suite is extraordinarily versitile and out-of-the-box will support a wide range of business verticals. Any business that has warehouse operations, for example, would be an immediate fit.  This is because ROMS initially evolved in the electronics recycling space which typically have complex warehousing operations.

The electronics recycling vertical then further evolved to form two distinct branches, ITAD (Information Technology Asset Disposition) and E-Scrap. Loosely, ITAD is the branch that refurbishes and remarkets whilst E-Scrap is the breaking down of materials into raw commodities and selling these. As the industry evolved, so did ROMS in becoming modular. So now, there are distinct ITAD and E-Scrap targeted modules.

ROMS has since further evolved to include modules which are targeted at specialist verticals within the overall recycling space. There is a high degree of process commonality within this community. So, even specialist verticals will still recieve material, do something with that material and ship the processed material out.

That said, certain specialist verticals do have certain unique requirements. Consider Disaster Management operations, for example. When a hurricane hits, everything damaged will require replacement or repair. Those replaced items should ideally be recycled as opposed to thrown into a landfill. However, this is very closely linked with the insurance industry. What is covered by a policy, who is the isurer, the broker, the loss adjuster and much more.

Who will be removing the waterlogged carpets and when? Bare in mind, the carpets cannot be removed before the desks, chairs, filing cabinets and computers. But, will it be the same company removing the furniture as the electronics? If there is some revenue from repurposing how is this tracked and what percentage can be returned to the insurer? So, ROMS has a module especially targetted at disaster management operations.
